A turnover that reaches around 45 billion euros in Europe, a sector that is increasingly finding general consensus, thanks also to the creation of routes, itineraries, cycle paths, etc., created to meet the needs of those traveling with the bike.
Italy has also decided to invest in this area, allocating over 400 million euros for the construction of tourist cycle paths. Statistics indicate that in Italy there are over 10 million cycling enthusiasts; the cycle tourist is aged between 35 and 55 and has a medium-high income, 34% of these use e-Bikes.
Cycling tourism is widespread in all Italian regions, among the most requested we point out Emilia Romagna, Tuscany, Veneto, Sicily, Piedmont, Trentino Alto Adige, Lombardy, Liguria and Marche; the most requested periods for this type of holiday are the intermediate seasons, spring and autumn.
